Dr. Stephen Ng is a consultant and honorary clinical assistant professor at the Division of Upper Gastrointestinal and Metabolic Surgery, Department of Surgery, Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

He graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and obtained fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong in 2018. He has been honored with the GB Ong Medal and the Li Shields Medal. Dr. Ng has received multiple local and international accolades, including the Mrs. Esther FC Wu Memorial Fund Travelling Scholarship, the GB Ong Visiting Fellowship, and the IFSO Observership Scholarship. These awards allowed him to serve as a visiting scholar at esteemed medical centers in the United States, India, and Japan, where he concentrated on metabolic bariatric endoscopy, advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, and robotic surgery.

Dr. Ng is committed to advancing research and education on both local and international fronts. He is a member of the metabolic bariatric endoscopy committee of the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), serves as treasurer of the Hong Kong Hernia Society, and is a council member of the Hong Kong Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Currently, he is leading several projects focused on metabolic bariatric surgery and endoscopy.
