The CRMO aims to enhance the quality standards, efficiency and compliance of clinical trials through comphrehensive and tailor-made services. The CRMO also connects sponsors with suitable investigators, and facilitate various clinical research processes in the hospitals.
The CREC is established for the protection of the rights, safety and well-being of human subjects with respect to their participation in clinical studies through initial review and continuous oversight from the ethical and scientific perspectives.
The CRP provides central coordination and secure investigational product management in compliance with ICH-GCP and regulatory requirements.
The purpose-build laboratories are accredited with ISO15189 Plus by the AC Diagnostics, mutually recongnised by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation.
CU-Med Biobank has been established for the standardised and systematic collection, storage and application of patient biological samples with standard operating procedures and quality manuals. This standardised CU-Med Biobank is a pivotal bridge to improve the translation of basic research into clinical applications.
Located at the Sir YK Pao Centre for Cancer of the Prince of Wales Hospital, the State Key Laboratory of Translational Oncology (CUHK) is built on several solid foundations. One is CUHK’s long-established partnership with Sun Yat-sen University in cancer research and the backing of a strong clinical base and support of the Hospital Authority and the former Health and Food Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government.
Approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) established the State Key Laboratory of Digestive Disease (CUHK) – in partnership with the Fourth Military Medical University (FMMU) in 2013. Its aim is to promote research and improve the level of diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases in Hong Kong and Mainland China through collaboration between the two institutes.
